Sachen, die nicht Spaß an allen sind.

September 19, 2005

Another weekend comes to an end, and what have I accomplished? I’ve reached lvl 48 on my Priest in World of Warcraft, I’ve successfully managed to get a new computer for the cost of 40 minutes of my time, and Avoided doing any homework, of any sort.
Deciding to try and balance life is hard, I gotta pay my respects to those who manage to do so with such ease. Work is being pretty lazy now. I’m glad people don’t travel around in the wintertime.
I’ve managed to on and off the whole night. Top it off with TWiT and the Mac Geek Gab.
3 more hours *and counting* till freedom.

Co-workers

September 13, 2005

I was intending to write this about the peculiarity of my women coworkers, and their relative amusingness concerning school and other activities. I’m left now wondering how some people react to inequalities in the system.
I gripe a little: but I try to remain realistic in my assessment, and keep my hopes and aspirations for it remaining high.

I may get back to why women in general are weirder than men, but I’ll be blowing smoke out my arse. :)

Day of Ponderment & Wonder

September 11, 2005

When mixing beer with philosophers, you’re gonna end up with something. I wonder what makes something ethical.

A few things excused: society says, the people say. I suspect there must be a reason something is right or wrong. So far I haven’t had religion as the answer, and frankly, I’m disappointed in this lack of non-secular reasoning. I was hoping for a good discussion.

Anyone have an idea why things are right or wrong?

All that’s bad…

Picked up Everything Bad is Good for you, and I can’t put it down — felt like doing my part for society and giving reference to Steve Johnsons book.

and now for something completely different.

Being colorblind

September 9, 2005

The majority of you out there have no idea what it’s like to be color blind.

I just showed this program to my girlfriend – I’m apparently never allowed to pick out my clothes now.

Apparently the word Callipygian means having a well-proportioned buttocks.

We should all be so lucky

Apple Corp wants my money

September 7, 2005

Yet again they’ve produced something that makes me salivate. I’ll wait for reviews before I go “omg roxor!” But I need to fix up my powermac first. *sigh* Anyone need a new slave? :)

Cheapies

September 5, 2005

Man, Jean must be hating me, first an imac on the cheap, now a g4 powermac, it’s gonna drive him nuts! now I get to tweak that machine.
Off I goes.
