Apple is popular again, the iPods are a common sight, even on at my college campus.
This leaves me in an unusual situation: everyone else has an ipod... So now i'm officially following the group.
Fark that. I am glad its popular, but it forces me to rethink how to be suitably different.
Thankfully I found the answer while shopping for a nice gift for my girlfriend -- refurbished iPod.
That's right folks, in order to avoid the group (which frankly I'm not too fond of them), but keep my apple pride strong I'm going to rock it oldschool. I'm now the proud owner of a 5gig first gen iPod.
Lord knows what may happen when everyone else realizes that older gear is rarer and therefore "cooler."
Probably next year.
