Hello Dear Readers,

I suppose it's time I step out of the ether and introduce myself. I'm Katie, from Tales from Katie's Land and A Conscious Life. I'm a English/Philosophy major about to graduate and enter the realm that is grad school...scary stuff, let me tell you.  I'm a self-described geek-nerd-dork trifecta, so be afraid, but not too afraid. My purpose here is to balance out the tech, gaming, and philosophy geeking that goes on around here with a little bit of the sci-fi goodness that makes me eternally happy.

Without further blathering, let me share with you one of the upcoming movies that I am looking forwards to: X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Since I'm apparently not allowed to upload videos at the moment, check out one of the most recent 60-second previews that recent aired on FOX. Honestly, they should have just called the thing Alpha Flight and gotten over with it. I'm thrilled that they are using the Origins story developed by Paul Jenkins, Joe Queseda, and Bill Jemas. Unfortunately, it looks like they got rid of the tutor charachter who told the story in the comics in favor of introducing Sabertooth a little bit earlier. I also want to know what the heck Gambit is doing in this film. True Believers know he has to do some time with the Brotherhood before he can show up in the film's storyline!

Let's put this simply, there are so many ways this movie could go very, very badly.  Nonetheless, I'm still stoked. If there is a midnight showing in this little town, I'm going, no questions asked.  And if Captain America shows up somewhere along the way, I'll be even happier. Now we just have to wait for May!
